Zillertal (Ziller Valley)

The Zillertal is well known for its nature, the mountains, culture & tradition, the ski areas, hiking areas and much more.

The Valley extends from the Tyrolean Inntal (Inn Valley) into a southern direction and it is crossed by numerous side valleys. The Zillertal Alps are an extremely popular area for many recreational activities.

In addition to the summer hiking trails with countless hiking huts and peaks, it is mainly the winter which attracts numerous guests with its top ski resorts. The Hintertux Glacier is Austria's only full-year-round ski area and can be reached by car in a relatively short time!

There exist countless possibilities for activities next to the mountains and their peaks. Swimming pools, lakes (reservoirs), hiking trails, bike trails, mountain bike trails, tennis courts, action sports, paragliding, high ropes course, theme parks, golf course, sledding, ice skating rinks, cross-country skiing, and many more invite you to explore and try for yourself.

Culture and tradition enrich the region for decades. In particular, the traditional festivals like the Gauderfest are known nationwide. And lets not forget the hundreds of folk music groups which made the valley well known in the whole world. There is a reason for the nick name "valley of music".

No matter what you are looking for, you will find it. Relaxation and nature, action and sports, culture and tradition, ...

Your holiday will become unforgettable in the Zillertal...
